When it comes to Kevin Ang, no formal introduction is needed. Boasting an awe-inspiring repertoire of work, his talent speaks for itself and we’re nothing short of ecstatic to have him on board the Ark! Kevin is a lifelong artist who’s worn many hats along the way, leaving a trail of success behind him. Illustration, animation, motion design, and VR run in his blood and he has been able to work with a variety of clients counting Google, Intuit, CBS, Warner Brothers, Leapfrog Toys, Stanford Medical, and Western Digital.

He’s also worked on a number of films, including the animated adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s “A Scanner Darkly.” He later went on to win an Emmy for his motion design work with The CW Network, and he’s a co-founder of the XR Artists Collective, a community for those who are exploring and collaborating in this whole new medium. In short, much wow!

In his more personal work, he builds virtual worlds and characters that address human rights, animal conservation, and safe spaces to heal:

Conservation, especially when it comes to both natural resources and endangered species, is the cornerstone of much of my work. Contributing to the Project Ark platform that directly addresses the intersection between art and fundraising speaks to my heart.

Before Kevin was introduced to Project Ark, he was already raising funds for nonprofits like the ACLU with sales from NFTs and fostering community for fellow XR artists. Having traversed many industries in his career, this unique opportunity to be able to give back to the world while creating art he’s passionate about is a very special one.

Kevin created motion graphics and animation for the sobering documentary “When Giants Fall”, chronicling the genocide of elephants throughout Africa.

My name is Ioana, a chamois that lives in the beautiful meadows of the Carpathian mountains. You could say I’m a cross between an antelope and a goat, but I’ve always felt more comfy just being me quite honestly. In the early 2000s, my ancestors were highly threatened population wise and thanks to the signing of the Carpathian Convention treaty, enough sustainable development work was done to allow my family to survive and flourish. I hope with recent rewilding initiatives, the same can be said for many of my fellow species who just want to roam free and play with the butterflies once again.

Proceeds from the sale of “Ioana” will help unlock the funding needed to support a community-led conservation project led by WWF in Romania that brings back the bison to the wilder side of Europe — the Carpathian Mountains. The funding will be used to develop the digital infrastructure making the link between the global participants and the local do-ers, both in terms of tracing funds, impact and enabling participatory decision making.
